Rhythm Trainer: a timing trainer for rhythm gamers

A timing trainer built for rhythm game players. Notes fall onto a judgement line, every tap is judged to the millisecond, and the results show how early or late you were and how steady you stayed. Warm up before your main game, find your offset, or drill a tempo until it's clean.

What Rhythm Trainer does

A note highway you can read

Bar-shaped notes fall onto a horizontal judgement line at the note speed you're used to. Every tap gets PERFECT, GREAT, GOOD or OKAY, its offset in ms and an EARLY or LATE marker.

Two-hand patterns

The left half of the screen is your left hand, the right half your right hand: two-hand backbeat, hand-to-hand eighths and the 3:2 polyrhythm, plus 4:3 and paradiddles with Pro.

Results that explain your timing

Accuracy, grade and max combo, unstable rate (UR), average offset marked early or late, a section breakdown and a timing graph across the whole run.

Offset check

If your hits keep landing early or late, Rhythm Trainer tells you which way to move the offset and sets it in one tap. A tap-along calibration covers Bluetooth headphones.

Daily chart and Timing Coach

A new chart every day, the same for everyone. The Timing Coach finds your clearest habit, like rushing off-beats or a lagging hand, and starts a drill for it.

Ghost races

Share a challenge code. Your friend plays the same chart with your ghost next to their notes, then sees who had the tighter run.

Questions

Who is it for?

Rhythm game players warming up or chasing a lower UR, drummers and percussionists working on hand independence, and anyone checking the offset of a new phone or headphones.

What is UR?

Unstable rate: how much your hits spread around their average. Lower is steadier. Rhythm Trainer shows it after every run, next to your average offset.

Does it work with Bluetooth headphones?

Yes. Run the quick tap-along calibration once so your headphones' delay isn't counted against you.

Which odd meters can I practice?

With Pro: 5/4, 7/4, 5/8 (3+2), compound 6/8, 7/8 (2+2+3) and Balkan 9/8 (2+2+2+3), with accents on each group.
