How to get closer to zero
- Count, don't react. Tap a steady beat in your head (one-and-two…) and stop on the beat.
- Release, don't press. On a phone, resting your thumb on the button and lifting saves time.
- Try blind mode. With the clock hidden you can't chase the numbers; it's all internal timing.
Questions
Is it possible to stop at exactly 1.000 seconds?
It's rare. Human reaction and anticipation vary by tens of milliseconds, so most players land within 20–60 ms. Hitting 0 ms takes rhythm, not reflexes: count the beat in your head and release on it.
How precise is this timer?
It uses your browser's high-resolution clock and shows the result to the millisecond. Screens refresh every 8–17 ms, so the running display is smoothed, but the stop time is measured exactly.
Is there an app version?
Yes. ZeroMargin for Android adds a daily target, rank tiers, achievements, bots and 2-player duels on one phone.
